I. GENERAL
 
These policies are designed to make each sports league and event run as smoothly and safely as possible. These policies were created to provide organization and consistency for all participants in every league/tournament put on by Southern Sports Leagues. Each player is responsible for reading and understanding this information.
 
II. EMAILS
 
By providing your name and email address to Southern Sports Leagues, you understand that you are NOT obligated to sign up for or participate in any leagues. Southern Sports Leagues will only send you e-mails to provide you with league and event information and updates. Southern Sports Leagues cares about your privacy and will never share, sell, or distribute your personal information; except as Section III of Southern Sports Leagues Terms of Use. 
 
Any use of the websites messaging system to solicit or gain access to Southern Sports Leagues Players, Staff, Personnel, or Ownership is strictly forbidden. Any violation of this policy will result in legal ramifications and all legal costs shall be born by the accused party if found guilty or a settlement is reached. 
 
III. REGISTRATION
 
By signing up as a team, groups or individual, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to all Southern Sports Leagues Policies and league rules. It is your responsibility to field a full and legal team each week. Your registration form alone does NOT confirm your placement on a team or in a league. Individuals and Teams are only confirmed to a league once full payment has been received prior to the Deadline. We reserve the right to add individual players to groups that sign up as a team with less than the minimum number of players required to play the sport. We may also add individuals to teams that have the minimum number of players required to play but need extra players to help avoid forfeits.
 
Southern Sports Leagues will keep the individual registration fee for any player added above the minimum required to play.
 
All individuals, groups, and teams must be registered at least 7 days prior to the start date of the 
league. Any player or team not fully registered and/or paid by the deadline may be removed by Southern Sports Leagues. Players may only be officially registered on one (1) team per league. No player will be allowed to be officially registered on more than one team per league.
 
IV. PAYMENTS
 
All payments to Southern Sports Leagues are considered final and non-refundable. Your registration form alone does NOT confirm your placement on a team league, tournament, camp or clinic. Individuals, Small Groups and Teams are only confirmed to Sports  
Events once full payment has been received prior to the Deadline. Once your full payment has been received, you will receive electronic confirmation of your completed registration. Please keep this confirmation for your records. Southern Sports Leagues will NOT provide refunds for Sports Events payments for any reason. If you need to remove yourself from a Sports Events, it is up to you to find a replacement and work out a payment system with your replacement. Any team or player that has not paid by the payment deadline will be removed from the league. Southern Sports Leagues reserves the right to apply late fees to any player or team not fully paid by the deadline.
 
V. REFUNDS
 
Southern Sports Leagues will NOT provide refunds for Sports Event payments for any reason after the start of the league. This includes but not limited to individuals, small groups and/or teams that become injured or sick, do NOT show up for league games  and/or tournament, withdraw from a Sports Event, or are removed from a Sports Events by a Southern Sports Leagues staff member, facility managers, or Southern Sports League's management. All social events, parties, and outings are non-refundable, no matter the circumstances.
 
VI. SCHEDULES
 
Southern Sports Leagues has sole discretion and reserves the right to schedule games (regular and playoff) on days other than your regularly scheduled league day/night. In extreme circumstances, Southern Sports Leagues has the right to run a shortened season without a refund. Southern Sports Leagues is completely dependent on the constraints of each facility and we therefore ask for your patience and understanding if we need to make changes to your league schedule.
 
VII. WAIVERS
 
In order to participate in any of our Sports Events, each participant must sign the Southern Sports Leagues Release & Waiver. By registering online for a Sports Event, you agree to be bound by and comply with all of the terms and conditions hereof, and any other guidelines, rules and additional terms referenced in the Release and Waiver, which is hereby incorporated by reference (the Waiver).
 
VIII. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
 
Our Sports Events are available to all individuals who are at least 21 years of age. By registering online to any of our Sports Events, you represent and warrant that you are 21 or over, or the legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction if that age is greater than 21 years of age, to use the Site and participate in any of our Sports Events, and have the right, full power, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms and to abide by all of the terms and conditions set forth herein. The Site is administered in the United States. Any use outside of the United States is at your own risk, and you are responsible for compliance with any local laws applicable to your use of the Site.
 
Substitutions/Pick Ups are allowed during the regular season. Teams may pick up as many players as needed in order to avoid a forfeit without penalty. Substitutions must be current registered league players in the league they are substituting for or pay a $10 substitution fee if they are not currently registered for the league. Teams playing short of the minium number of players needed for a game may play the game if the opposing team agrees and they shall do so without penalty. 
 
Players who are on the final roster are eligible for playoffs. A formal protest may be filed before a playoff game if an opposing player's eligibility is in question. The player in question will be required to provide his/her player information including photo ID to the Southern Sports Leagues' league official. If the player in question cannot prove that he/she is on the final roster, then that player mat NOT play in that game nor in any future playoff games that season. Any and all decisions must be made on site by the league official and each team captain. Any protest made during a game or after a game will NOT be considered a formal protest. All rulings by the league official are considered final.
 
Any player actively involved, named or engaged in any type of legal action against Southern Sports Leagues, shall be removed from any and all leagues, events, or tournaments until such a time that the litigation is complete and cleared by Southern Sports Leagues executive management team to once again participate in sanctioned activities.  
 
IX. SPORTSMANSHIP
 
At Southern Sports Leagues, we facilitate a fun and competitive environment! We hope and expect that all participants keep that in mind when becoming involved in our Sports Events. Although the games may become intense, you still can be competitive while maintaining good sportsmanship. With this said, any behavior deemed unacceptable by Southern Sports Leagues staff may result in suspension and/or ejection from a Sports Events. Any player ejected from a  game will serve a minimum 1 week suspension unless otherwise stated by Southern Sports Leagues management. Any player ejected twice within the same season will be banned from Southern Sports Leagues for life. Southern Sports Leagues reserves the right to ban a player, group of players, or an entire team at our discretion after just one occurrence, depending on the severity of the situation. Team Captains will be responsible for the behavior of any sub (non-roster) player that gets ejected and therefore will receive the penalty of that player.
 
 
 
X. GAME/LEAGUE CANCELLATIONS
 
Leagues may be canceled due to existing weather conditions, dangerous or unplayable field conditions, facility constraints, etc. Southern Sports Leagues' staff will make every effort to play all scheduled games, thus we will not cancel games until absolutely necessary. Please check our Facebook page and website (www.sslsports.com)  prior to any game to check for cancellations or weather updates. If a game or the entire league is canceled, Southern Sports Leagues' staff will notify all players to the email address provided. If a game is canceled on site, we will update the weather line (if needed) and will update the schedule online. Depending on the time of cancellation, some teams will have to be notified on site. If we do cancel, please follow the next week's schedule. The games that are canceled will be made up at the end of the season if time allows. In extreme circumstances, Southern Sports Leagues reserves the right to run a shortened season without a refund or schedule games on days other than our regularly scheduled league day/night.
 
Southern Sports Leagues will reschedule up to 2 regular season games per season. 1 rescheduled game shall be during the week on the scheduled league night, any other makeup games will be played on a Saturday during the season. After 2 reschedules, if any other cancellation reasons occur, Southern Sports Leagues may credit a team or player a portion of next season's registration fees. No refunds will be given.
 
XI. T-SHIRTS
 
Southern Sports Leagues provides free league t-shirts for some Southern Sports Leagues Players who pay the full individual registration fee. Team registration fees are excluded from our T-Shirt policy as they are not provided shirts. We reserve the right to assign team colors based on our vendor's inventory and size requirements. Each team will receive one shirt for every paid player (an Official Player) on the roster 8 days before the scheduled start of the season. Shirts will be ordered once per leauge, 8 days before the season start date. Any Official Player that is added after the 8 day mark before a season, will not receive a shirt. The shirts will be handed out at a pre-assigned location each season prior to your first game. All extra t-shirts must be collected by the team captain at the first game.
 
The team captain must distribute extra shirts to any Official Player that could not attend the first game.
 
All Official Players must wear their official Southern Sports Leagues t-shirt at every game during the season, including the playoffs, or risk not being able to play in the game. League officials have the right to prevent a player from playing in a game for not wearing their official Southern Sports Leagues t-shirt. We require all players to wear our jerseys as this is the only way for us to guarantee no two teams have the same color and that all players on the field are legal players that have signed our release and waiver. Southern Sports Leagues does retain the right to edit this policy and grant exception to teams who have their own Jerseys if they are deemed appropriate for wear in a Southern Sports League game.
 
XII. PRIZES
 
The championship team may receive championship prizes at the end of each season. Championship prizes vary by season and will be provided to all official roster players at the end of the championship game. Southern Sports Leagues reserves the right NOT to provide championship prizes to the winning team. Prizes shall never be awarded to teams who forfiet, quit, or perform any other type of unsportsmanship like behavior either during the championship game, playoffs, or at any other time during the season.
